Dr. Balwant Godara currently works as a consultant in the use of ICT for healthcare. His most recent assignment was for the World Health Organization (WHO), on how ICTs can be used to help the WHO fulfill its role in India. Over 2013, he consulted for the Foundation for Innovative New Diagnostics (FIND), Geneva, Switzerland, on the integration of mobile technologies in the diagnostics of infectious diseases. From 2007 to 2012, he served as Assistant professor at the Institut Supérieur d’Electronique de Paris, France, working amongst others on the design of circuits and communication systems for biomedical applications. He has over 60 publications in international journals and conferences. Balwant holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering (from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India), and a PhD in Microelectronics (from the University of Bordeaux, France).
