Student Affairs Council

The Student Affairs Council (SAC) is the apex student body at IIIT-Bangalore. It oversees the functioning of the various committees presides overall student and acts as a liaison between the student body and the administrative authorities of the college.
The body is led by four under-graduate (Imtech) and four post-graduate (MTech and others) students.
SAC engages in discussions with the Director, Deans, Registrar, Wardens, and Coordinator of Student Affairs on academic and non-academic issues affecting the student body in general. The broad responsibility of SAC is to facilitate the smooth functioning of all the student activities at IIIT-Bangalore.

 General Responsibilities:

• The representative body of the students in academic and non-academic matters.
• Organizing extra-curricular and co-curricular activities for IIITB students in consultation and collaboration with other student clubs and committees
• Facilitating the induction process for the incoming batch of students
• Regular communication and coordination of student mental/emotional well-being related programs
• Co-ordination of interaction between different student committees and clubs, as and when required
• Selection of an Election Committee for conducting SAC elections for the next term.
