IIIT-B Announces CGI Scholarship for Girl Students
- Top 20 girls to be selected
Bangalore, 22nd August: IIIT-B announces "CGI Scholarship" for top performing girl students. CGI has partnered with the prestigious IIIT-B to provide and support the girl students who join IIITB for the Integrated M. Tech (iMTech) programme which is a 5-year dual degree (B.Tech and M.Tech) programme. The scholarship provides 100% tuition fee waiver for the first semester to top 20 girl students based on their main JEE All-India Rank. The iMTech course admission starts in the month of August and the course commences in the month of October.
Commenting on the announcement, Prof. Debabrata Das, Director, IIIT-B, said “We are very happy by this arrangement. It is a great celebration for the girl students; it’s pure hard work and their zestful attitude which gives them a path to realise their dreams.”
Speaking on the occasion, George Mattackal, President of CGI’s Asia Pacific Global Delivery Center's of Excellence said “It’s a great honour and opportunity for CGI to be partnering with one of the prestigious institutes in the country, who have a vast pool of talent and we are very happy to be offering the scholarships to the well deserving girl students who can further be empowered with future technology.”
In addition to the scholarships, knowledge-sharing seminars and career-mentoring sessions will be conducted by CGI as part of its efforts to promote career opportunities for the girl students.
