IIIT-B Innovation Centre and BCIC Host a Landmark MSME-Startup Interaction in Collaboration with PIA
Bengaluru: On December 11, IIIT-B Innovation Centre, in partnership with the Peenya Industrial Association (PIA) and the Bangalore Chamber of Industry and Commerce (BCIC), organized a transformative MSME-Startup interaction as part of the Smart Manufacturing & Industry 4.0 Acceleration Program. The interaction provided opportunity for startups to pitch their innovative solutions to MSMEs and the PIA leadership. This initiative aims to foster collaboration and unlock the untapped synergies between startups and MSMEs. Startups often bring cutting-edge technology, innovation, and agility, which can greatly benefit MSMEs by enhancing their productivity, competitiveness, and access to advanced tools.
Mr. Devarajan highlighted the immense potential of bridging startups and MSMEs, emphasizing the untapped opportunities for mutual growth and innovation. Dr. Lakshmi Jagannathan expressed optimism about the future, stating, "This initiative marks the beginning of a transformative journey for startups and MSMEs. The collaboration has the potential to create groundbreaking solutions and foster a vibrant ecosystem for mutual growth." Mr. Shivakumar, President of PIA, expressed strong support for this initiative, affirming, “PIA welcomes startups with open arms to collaborate, bring value, and create a dynamic ecosystem that benefits all stakeholders."
