This includes technologies such as AI planning and Semantic web. His areas of application have been zero-touch automation and IoT.
Prior to Ericsson he was with HP, Bangalore, between 2003 and 2014, where he worked in the areas of Cloud Systems and High Performance Computing.
Prior to joining the Computer Industry in he was a faculty member at IIT Kharagpur between 1994 and 2003. He was also a visiting researcher at IRISIA, Rennes during 2002-2003. His core areas of research there have been in Graph Theory and Interconnection Networks.
Badrinath has a Masters and PhD from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, NY USA (1994) and a MSc(Tech) from BITS, Pilani (1987), all in Computer Science.
My areas of research experience and interest include AI Planning, IoT, Semantic Web with applications to automation.
I have had the honor of servering as General Co-Chair of the HiPC conference (see http://www.hipc.org) for several years.
I have served on the research and academic boards of multiple universities and also on several faculty selection committees across universities.
I am currently also a visiting scientist at ISI Bangalore where I teach computer science courses.
Almost all my publications are captured in this google scholar page.
I currently teach the first year introductory programming course. I also teach an AI course covering topics from classical AI.
In the past I have taught a variety of courses including Graph Theory, Formal Languages and Automata, Algorithms, and Operating Systems.
