Minimum Qualification Requirements:
Applicants must have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) with a first-class grade and Mathematics as one of the subjects. Students who are expected to meet this requirement by July 2026 are also eligible to apply. Additionally, a valid JEE Main score from 2026 is required.
* Any additional elgibility criteria will be notified in the website.
Admissions to the B.Tech. and Integrated M.Tech. (I.M.Tech.) programmes at the institute for the academic year 2026 will be based on the candidate's best All India Rank of 2026 obtained in either the JEE Main conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) or JEE Advanced.

Updates to the Course fee for 2026-27.
The tuition fee per semester for the students who are joining the B.Tech. programme in the academic year 2026-27 will be as follows:

As per the above break up, the total tuition fee for the entire duration of 4 years is Rs. 23,82,000/- Note that the fees are subject to revision from time to time.
The tuition fee per semester for the students who are joining the I.M.Tech. programme in the academic year 2026-27 will be as follows:

Note that the fees are subject to revision from time to time
Please note that both the B.Tech. and the I.M.Tech. programmes are residential, and require compulsory stay in the hostel.
Students need to pay hostel and campus facility fee of Rs. 39,000 per semester and 28,800 per semester for catering and food services (again subject to revision from time to time).
Medical Insurance charges are Rs. 3,000 per annum. These are indicative at the prevailing rates and is subject to change.
At the time of admission each student needs to pay one-time Library Deposit of Rs. 4,000/- and one-time Caution Deposit for Hostel of Rs. 15,000/- which are refundable at the time of graduation.
Other costs for books and supplies, travel, purchase of a laptop, etc., need to be factored by students depending on their individual choices.

Corporate Scholarship: IIIT Bangalore students have received scholarships from various corporates in the past, like Reliance Foundation, Tata Foundation, Micron, Intel, HGS, and CGI. IIIT Bangalore will facilitate students applying for these scholarships if the company announces the same.
Utkarsha Scholarship 2026: The Utkarsha Scholarship Scheme has been instituted to attract and recognize exceptional academic talent by offering a full tuition fee waiver to the top-ranked student admitted to the B. Tech or Integrated M. Tech programme at IIIT Bangalore through JEE (Main) or JEE (Advanced), based on the NTA Rank (CRL) in the range of 1–999. For the B. Tech programme, the scholarship provides a 100% tuition fee waiver for the first three years, while for the Integrated M. Tech programme, it offers a 100% tuition fee waiver for the first four years.
Dean’s Merit List Scholarship: All students are automatically considered for the award based on the merit in the order of CGPA for the scholarship and upon approval by the scholarship committee.
Students are selected for Merit-based Scholarships on the basis of the Dean’s Merit List promulgated by the office of Deans every year.
In case of B.Tech. and I.M.Tech. students, the students have to score 3.6 CGPA or more to get enlisted in the Dean’s List. Top 10% of the students will receive the scholarship.
Prerna Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students at IIIT Bangalore for Academic Year 2026-27: Increasing the participation of girls in engineering is essential to building a more inclusive, innovative, and balanced technological future. This scholarship provides financial assistance, enabling girl students to focus on learning, creativity, and leadership without financial barriers. All girl students admitted to the B. Tech and Integrated M. Tech programmes in CSE, ECE, and AI & DS are eligible for this scholarship. The number of scholarships for academic year 2026-27 in the CSE, ECE, and AI & DS programmes, across both B. Tech and Integrated M. Tech, is limited to 10% of the batch intake as shown below.

Terms and Conditions:
1. Applicants will be selected for the scholarship based on their JEE (Main)/JEE (Advanced) NTA Rank (CRL) within each programme.
AICTE Scholarship: I.M.Tech. Students who have qualified in the GATE exam (and have a valid GATE score card) by the time they start the final year of their I.M.Tech. programme are eligible for the AICTE scholarships as per AICTE norms in the final year of their I.M.Tech. programme.
Student Benevolent Fund: The Student Benevolent Fund(SBF) provides financial assistance to students facing genuine financial hardship. This is a need based scholarship and kicks in, once a student enrols in any program and is found eligible. Students’ whose parents’/guardians’ annual income is less than 11 Lakhs per annum and are unable to source a student loan from banks are eligible to apply. Applicants are required to submit the latest income certificate of parent/ guardian along with the application. SBF is purely for the benefit of the needy or disadvantaged students of the Institute to provision aid for such activities related to their education, boarding, health or other exigencies which cannot be met through other available scholarships.

Heartiest Congratulations on your success in the JEE Main exam. It is your consistent endeavor, which has made you successful and given you a chance to be a student of one of the best technical institutes of this nation.
IIIT Bangalore attracts bright faculty members with PhD from reputed universities of the world. This leads to state of art areas of research and focus on conceptual teaching. Hence it is one of the preferred destinations for bright students. This combination of faculty and students, along with regularly updated curriculum, Labs, teaching and research create the academic and hands on platform for a student. The learning process in IIIT-B is an experience for life time as you build your career.
Moreover, Bangalore being the Silicon Valley of India, with a large number of IT industries and R&D Labs from multinational companies as well as the government support, the students get vast exposure by interacting with eminent people in workshops/conferences and work with them during internship.
