- About Us
Industry Collaboration
Since 1998, the industry has partnered with IIITB and has played a crucial role in its growth. IIITB also offers short-term courses for industry professionals.
Our Key Partners
IIITB has a very active and vibrant international student exchange programme. Faculty work with their counterparts in leading international academic universities funded by organisations such as National Science Foundation, USA (NSF), European Union (EU), Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research, Netherlands (NWO), Research Councils UK (RCUK) and the World Bank. Students get a chance to visit international universities and work on research projects.
Helping Morocco Develop Digital Database
IIITB will help Morocco develop an Aadhaar-like digital platform to register its citizens and foreign residents with unique identities. Morocco will be able to execute its National Population Register, through digital registration. A MoU was signed between IIITB and the Interior Ministry of Morocco in August, 2018. The project is being backed by the World Bank.
Mentoring Myanmar Institute of Information Technology
On 28th May 2012, the Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the Government of India signed a MoU to establish Myanmar Institute of Information Technology (MIIT) at Mandalay, Myanmar. The MoU envisages that MIIT will be established and operated along the lines of the successful model of IIITs in India. IIITB has been chosen to act as the mentor institution for MIIT. It will build and operate MIIT, and transfer it to the authorities in Myanmar by December 2020.
