1.1	Name	International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore International institute is a Deemed University under Sec 3 of University Grants Commission Act 1956 and registered (a), registered (b) under Karnataka Societies Registration Act 1960. IIITB is also recognized as scientific and industrial research organization by department of scientific & research, ministry of science & technology government of India. The institute has been accorded as 12B Status by the UGC on 5th August 2024.
1.2	Functions and Duties	As per the Memorandum of Association and rules and regulations of International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIITB)
1.3	Powers and duties of its officers and employees	As per the Articles of Association and Decision of Governing body.

1.5	The norms set by it for the discharge of its functions	As per the Articles of Association and Decision of Governing body.
1.6	The rules, regulations, instructions, manuals and records, held by it or under its control or used by its employees for discharging its functions	As per the Articles of Association and Decision of Governing body.
1.7	A statement of the categories of documents that are held by it or under its control	Administrative Office Orders / Decisions and Guidelines as approved by Institutes Governing Body.
